Welcome to our PTA Page
Sedlescombe Parent and Teacher AssociationAt Sedlescombe PTA, our mission is to connect our school, parents, and local community to create the best possible environment for every child to thrive. We act as the bridge between home and school, making sure communication is open, inclusive, and meaningful. By partnering with local organisations, businesses, and residents, we bring in opportunities, resources, and experiences that enrich learning and strenthen community ties. Our focus is on supporting all children at the school, ensuring that fundraising, events, and projects benefit the whole school community and promote equality of opportunity. We encourage parents to get involved in ways that work for them from volunteering time and skills to joining events and sharing ideas. Together, we build a stronger school community, championing every child’s potential and making our school a place where everyone feels welcome, valued, and inspired.

Our Upcoming Events & Activities
Our Environment
We have designed a warm, welcoming environment inspired by the Danish concept of hygge. Classrooms are calm and inviting, with natural materials and soft lighting used wherever possible to help children feel safe, settled and ready to learn. Our learning spaces are designed to spark curiosity and celebrate individuality. We want every child to feel known, valued and supported, so they can learn, feel loved, and grow into confident, compassionate individuals.
Each classroom features a bespoke reading area, filled with high-quality, age-appropriate books. We want every child to become fluent readers with a lifelong love of reading — because we believe reading enables everyone to become a life-long learner.
Beyond the classroom, our outdoor environment has been developed with children in mind. It includes a running sports area for running and active play, a construction zone for creativity and problem-solving, an outdoor gym to promote physical wellbeing, and a stage area complete with dressing-up clothes and music to encourage imaginative expression.
OUR CHILDREN
At the heart of our school is each and every child. As a small school we are able to know each child as an individual and can build on their strengths and nurture and support their weaknesses. Our children are taught by dedicated, hard working staff who make learning fun and exciting whilst ensuring that we provide a high quality education so that every child realises his or her potential.
Head Teacher Welcome
"I’m proud to lead a school where we are all “Learning, Loving and Growing Together with God.” A motto that reflects our commitment to nurturing every child academically, emotionally and spiritually.
We believe children flourish when they feel safe, valued and inspired. Our homely environment fosters a strong sense of belonging and encourages children to be courageous and aspirational in their learning. We have built a rich and engaging curriculum that makes learning an adventure and extends beyond the classroom offering experiences that spark curiosity and build life long memories.
We warmly invite you to explore our website and discover what makes our school such a special place to learn and grow."
